Meth found in Harvey motel

CHOCOLAY TOWNSHIP, MI--   Two people are jailed, following a meth bust in Chocolay Township.  

Tuesday around 1 p.m. detectives from the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team responded to the Marquette Motor Lodge to help Chocolay Township Police with a suspected meth lab.  Police and parole officers from the Michigan Department of Corrections had found meth components in several different motel rooms. 

UPSET removed numerous components, as well as finished meth product. 

Two suspects were arrested and lodged in the Marquette County Jail.  Their names are being withheld, pending arraignment. 

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
