Meth lab found in Marquette-area motel

CHOCOLAY TOWNSHIP, MI--   Chocolay Township Police have uncovered a meth lab at an area hotel.  

Officers were called to the hotel around 2:20 Thursday morning and found an unresponsive male.  The man was taken to Marquette General Hospital, where his condition is unknown. 

Police obtained a search warrant, and with the assistance of the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team seized components for manufacturing meth. 

Officers were assisted at the scene by Marquette City Police and the Chocolay Township Fire Department.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
