Michigan agency launches website for aging residents

LANSING, MI (AP)--   The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services has launched a new website to provide information about services available to aging residents in Michigan.

The department's Aging & Adult Services Agency developed the website with help from the Michigan Department of Management and Budget. It went live on Monday.

In 2014, Governor Rick Snyder tasked both departments with creating a website that would connect residents with local aging programs and services. David Behen, director and state chief information officer at the Department of Management and Budget, says the new website will aid in Snyder's goal of creating a "citizen-centric government."

The website had been in development over the past several months.
