Michigan House of Representatives to investigate MSU

LANSING, MI (MPRN)--   The state House of Representatives started an investigation into Michigan State University Thursday.

It stems from a former Michigan State University sports doctor’s criminal conduct.

Larry Nassar was sentenced this week for multiple cases of sexual assault against female patients. During his sentencing proceeding, more than a dozen women blamed MSU for letting Nassar continue to treat patients under their watch.

Now two Representatives say they’ll conduct an investigation. They sent a letter to the school demanding all documents related to the Nassar allegations.

Representative Klint Kesto co-signed the letter. He says they want to hold people accountable.

“What we need to do as a legislative body is make sure our families can trust the administrations that they send their children to,” he says.

The NCAA and the state Attorney General also have their eye on MSU for an investigation.
