Missing man found deceased in Escanaba

ESCANABA, MI--   The body of a missing Wisconsin man has been found in Delta County.

Dustin Feavel, 36, had traveled to Escanaba from Wisconsin to visit relatives. He was reported missing Monday.

Wednesday around 6:30 p.m. Escanaba Public Safety officers found Feavel’s body in the woods between Willow Creek Road and M.5 Lane along the northern fence line of the Delta County Airport.

The Delta County Medical Examiner’s Office ruled the cause of death was related to hypothermia.

Escanaba Public Safety was assisted by the Delta County Search and Rescue, Delta County Sheriff Department, Delta County Sheriff Department Aviation Unit (UAV), Rampart EMS, Delta County Medical Examiner’s office, and Delta County Central Dispatch.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
