An opening ceremony takes place Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Cliffs Shaft Mine Museum in Ishpeming.  Race and relay intervals start at Old Towne Park in Negaunee, the Michigan Iron Industry Museum, and the old Northwoods Supper Club until 4 p.m.  The races finish at the Marquette Commons, and an awards celebration will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Ore Dock Brewing Company.

Proceeds from the race will benefit the YMCA of Marquette County’s “Reach and Rise” youth mentoring program.
