MARQUETTE, MI-- Northern Michigan University’s food services, maintenance employee, and police officers union has ratified a new, three-year contract.
AFSCME 1094 voted 79 to 8 to adopt the deal. The contract is
effective October 1 of this year through September 30 of 2020. Terms include an across-the-board 2 percent wage increase in each of the three years.
It also includes an enrollment incentive for 2019 and 2020 tied to specific growth in student enrollment.
The agreement must now be approved by the Northern Michigan University Board of Trustees.
