Number of daily flights going up at Sawyer

SAWYER, MI--   Delta Airlines is increasing the number of flights each day at Sawyer International Airport.

Beginning Thursday the Detroit time will return to an early-morning departure.

American Airlines will add a second flight to Chicago beginning July 7.

Sawyer has enacted enhanced protocols to keep passengers safe. They include additional hand-sanitizing stations and the frequent disinfecting of high-touch surfaces.

The TSA is now allowing one liquid hand sanitizer container—up to 12 ounces—per passenger in carry-on bags. All passengers are required to wear masks.
