Prelim set for Escanaba man charged with multiple felonies

ESCANABA, MI--   A preliminary exam is set for an Escanaba man arrested on various charges related to child pornography. 

John Schiska was taken into custody last week and charged with 14 felonies related to the possession of child sexually abusive material, distribution of child sexually abusive material, and using a computer to commit a crime. The case was investigated by the Michigan State Police Computer Crimes Unit.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 8 in Delta County District Court.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
