Recall election set for Fairbanks, Garden Township officials

DELTA COUNTY, MI--   Delta County Clerk Nancy Kolich has declared sufficient recall petitions for one Garden Township and three Fairbanks Township officials.

Recalls were filed against Garden Township Supervisor Morgan Tatrow and Fairbanks Township Supervisor Ron Collins, Clerk Kathryn Denholm, and Trustee James Dalgord. The petitions accuse them of conflicts of interest regarding the Heritage Wind Farm on the Garden Peninsula. The officials allegedly have wind leases with Heritage Sustainable Energy but didn’t recuse themselves from involvement in a proposed expansion project.

An election on the recall will be held in Garden and Fairbanks Townships on November 6.
