Reopening kits available to Keweenaw small businesses

HOUGHTON, MI--   Several organizations are collaborating to provide Keweenaw businesses with reopening kits.

The kits are designed to help small businesses obtain a basic level of supplies to meet state requirements in order to safely open their doors. They include disposable face masks, food service-grade gloves, disinfectant spray, hand sanitizer, laminated safety signage, floor tape for social distance markings,  checklists, employee screening, and other guidance for a safe reopening, and a “Keweenaw Safe, Keweenaw Strong” decal.

The Keweenaw Chamber of Commerce, Keweenaw Convention and Visitors Bureau and Keweenaw Economic Development Alliance have partnered with Superior National Bank to provide the kits. Businesses in Keweenaw, Houghton and Baraga counties can get a starter kit by going to www.keweenaw.org and clicking “Keweenaw safe,” by calling 906-482-5240, or by emailing info@keweenaw.org.
