Roadside parks in Upper Peninsula to close for season

MARQUETTE, MI (AP)--   The Michigan Department of Transportation says its roadside parks in the Upper Peninsula are getting ready to close soon for the season.

The agency says most will close Oct. 26. The two parks operated by MDOT in Keweenaw County are scheduled to close this Monday.

MDOT maintains 32 roadside parks in the Upper Peninsula. They usually close in late October and reopen in mid- to late-April.

A map, list and details are posted on the state's website.
