Second body found in burned Ironwood building

IRONWOOD, MI--   Another body has been found in an Ironwood building destroyed by fire Wednesday.

WLUC-TV says an autopsy has been scheduled to determine the identities of the two people who were killed in the blaze. One person remains unaccounted for, and three people are hospitalized for non-life-threatening injuries.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is now involved in investigating the cause of the fire, which is considered suspicious. It destroyed two buildings on East Aurora Street.

The Ironwood Public Safety Department is also being assisted by the Ironwood and Michigan State Police Fire Marshals.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
