Semi rolls, spills load in Breen Township

BREEN TOWNSHIP, MI--   Michigan State Police from the Iron Mountain Post are investigating a semi rollover accident in Dickinson County. 

Troopers say it happened Tuesday around 3:40 p.m. on M-69 near Swan Peterson Road in Breen Township. A 61-year-old Ironwood man was eastbound on M-69 when he lost control of his semi. The truck overturned, spilling its cargo on the highway.

The driver was taken to Dickinson County Healthcare System for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. He was cited for careless driving.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
