Senate hopeful in Marquette

MARQUETTE, MI--   U.S. Representative Gary Peters of Michigan will make an appearance in Marquette to stump for a Senate seat.   

The Democrat represents the 14th Congressional District, including a portion of Detroit and its suburbs.  He is running to replace U.S. Senator Carl Levin, who is retiring. 

Peters is bringing his “Michigan First” listening tour to Marquette’s Everyday Wines Monday.  The event begins at 11 a.m. 

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
