Saturday at 10:56 a.m. Larry Fortier of Gaylord crossed the Lower Harbor finish line in Marquette to win the Midnight Run.  He was followed at 11:03 by Joann Fortier of Gaylord.  Joanna Oberg of Ignace, Ontario finished third at 11:08.

In Gwinn’s Jackpine 30 sled dog race Al-Jo Thiart, formerly of South Africa and now of downstate Cheboygan took top honors.  Cynthia Sturmer of Bruce Crossing came in second, followed by Lynne Witte of Mt. Clemens.
