State Police investigate Luce County break-in, property damage

Michigan State Police

LUCE COUNTY, MI--   Michigan State Police from the Sault Ste. Marie Post are investigating two separate incidents in Luce County.

Troopers say someone broke into a cabin on Old Grade Road sometime between February and this past Saturday. The suspect or suspects rummaged through the cabin and took a new propane wall heater, a metric and a standard socket set and two sets of Ace Hardware wrenches—both metric and standard.

State Police are also looking into a property damage complaint in Lakeland Township.

Saturday around 10:40 p.m. two suspects stopped at the Bear Den for assistance. When they left the driver backed onto the turf in front of the store and spun out, causing damage to the grass.

Anyone with information regarding either incident is asked to call the Sault Ste. Marie Post at 906-632-2217.
