Suggitt headed to trial in February

MARQUETTE, MI--   A trial date has been set for a Marquette woman facing eight felony counts, including assault with intent to murder. 

Amber Suggitt, 32, was arrested in February after a shot was fired into a wall at a Fair Avenue residence during a domestic dispute. She was ultimately also charged with kidnapping, first-degree home invasion, assault with intent to commit sexual penetration, and four counts of felony firearms.

Suggitt was found competent to stand trial in June.

A pretrial hearing is scheduled for October 16 and trial for February 26. 

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
