Suspects who tried to rob Bessemer bar apprehended

BESSEMER, MI--   Two Indiana men have been arrested for breaking into coin-operated machines at the Pit Stop Bar in Bessemer.

Tuesday around 10:20 p.m. the owner notified Gogebic County Sheriff’s deputies that two subjects he believed had tried to break into the machines the night before were trying to do it again. Deputies responded and arrested the men without incident.

William Pinion is charged with possession of burglar’s tools, possession of meth, breaking and entering a coin-operated device, possession of a device to open a coin-operated device and larceny in a building.

Joshua Drinnon is charged with possession of burglar’s tools, breaking and entering a coin-operated device, possession of a device to open a coin-operated device and larceny in a building.

Both are lodged in the Gogebic County Jail. The case remains under investigation.

Deputies are checking with neighboring counties reporting similar crimes.
