LANSING, MI-- The Department of Natural Resources is giving residents around the state a “three-fer.”
The DNR has brought back its “Three Free" weekend—two days when anyone can grab a fishing pole, ride off-road trails, and visit state parks, all free of charge.
This Saturday and Sunday residents and nonresidents will be able to fish without a license, though all other fishing regulations still apply. The DNR is also waiving its regular recreation passport entry fee that lets vehicles enter Michigan’s 103 state parks. And people can ride DNR-designated routes and trails without purchasing an ORV license or trail permit.
