Top Stories: Irma's Aftermath; New Sanctions Against North Korea

CHOCOLAY TOWNSHIP, MI--   Chocolay Township Police are seeking help from the public in identifying a suspect in a gas-stealing incident. 

It happened September 3 at 6:20 p.m. at the Holiday Station Store in Harvey. Police say a man pumped $45.61 in fuel, entered the store, walked around to the exit, and left without paying.

The man was wearing a black ball cap, sunglasses with blue on the sides, and a red shirt that said “Proudly brewed in Detroit.” He has dark hair and a beard.

The suspect was driving a black Chevy Trailblazer.

Anyone with information as to the man’s identity or whereabouts is asked to call Chocolay Police at 249-4040. 

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
