Truck hits train in Menominee County

STEPHENSON, MI--   A delivery truck driver sustained serious injuries after his vehicle hit a train in Stephenson Tuesday.

The Menominee County Sheriff’s Department says the accident happened around 12:30 p.m. near the intersection of River Road and Willow Street.  The Coca-Cola truck apparently tried to stop as the train passed, but slid on the snowy roadway and struck the train.  The driver was ejected from the vehicle and taken to the hospital for treatment.

The accident remains under investigation.
