Tryan bound over to higher court

ESCANABA, MI--   The case of a Bark River man who tried to get into an Escanaba house while armed with a pistol has been bound over to circuit court.

Joshua Tryan, 30, is charged with carrying a concealed weapon and fleeing and eluding police—both felonies—and the misdemeanors operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, domestic violence, and possession of a firearm while intoxicated.

He was arrested September 3 after a woman claimed Tryan had a gun and tried to force his way into her house. When police arrived at the scene Tryan allegedly fled on an ATV without headlights. After a brief chase officers took him into custody.

They say a loaded gun was found on Tryan.
