Tubs traversing U.P. for charity Saturday

MARQUETTE, MI--   Fraternity members from Michigan Tech and Lake Superior State University are pushing bathtubs for charity this weekend.

Tau Kappa Epsilon chapters from both schools are leaving Marquette early Saturday morning in a race to see who gets back to their respective city first.  The Tech brothers will push the customized tub about 100 miles, while the LSSU brothers have around 170 miles to travel.

Tech is raising money through pledges for the Copper Country Humane Society, and Lake State is taking pledges to benefit St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
