DELTA COUNTY, MI-- Two people were killed in a traffic crash in Delta County on Saturday.
Around 9:50 a.m. Sheriff’s deputies were called to the intersection of US-2 & 41 and I Road. They say a vehicle driven by an 84-year-old man pulled onto the highway and into the path of a westbound vehicle. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
An 80-year-old female passenger was flown to UPHS Marquette, where she later died of her injuries.
The driver of the other vehicle was treated for his injuries at the scene and released.
No names have been released.
Alcohol and speed are not believed to factors in the accident, which remains under investigation.
