Two people from weekend Escanaba bust charged

ESCANABA, MI--   Two people have been arraigned on drug charges, following a multi-agency investigation in Delta County. 

A Sheriff’s deputy conducted a traffic stop in Escanaba Saturday. That led to a search of three local hotels. Officers seized three ounces of meth and a large amount of money. Three people were arrested and lodged at the Delta County Jail.

On Monday Daniel Kurth, 48, of Eunis, Louisiana was charged with possession with intent to deliver meth. Donald Kurth, 44, of Gladstone was charged with possession of meth.

The incident remains under investigation.

The Michigan State Police and Delta County Prosecutor’s Office are assisting in the case.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
