Police say the accident happened around noon on US-41 at the intersection of County Road 480.  A vehicle driven by Lennea Bressette of Chocolay Township was northbound when she tried to turn left onto CR480 and pulled into the path of a vehicle driven by Sharon Haynes, also of Chocolay Township.

Haynes was taken to Marquette General Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.  Bressette sought her own treatment.

Bressette was cited for failure to yield.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
