UPDATE: $3.9 million bond for Forsyth Township man

UPDATE:  The suspect has been identified as Andrew Caron of Gwinn.  The Sheriff's Office conducted a search warrant on his residence.  Electronic equipment was seized and turned over to the Forensic Unit in Traverse City for analysis.  

Forsyth Township Police assisted in the investigation, which remains ongoing.

MARQUETTE, MI--   A Forsyth Township man is lodged in the Marquette County Jail on a $3.9 million bond on several counts of criminal sexual conduct and other charges.   

The Marquette County Sheriff’s Office says the 43-year-old has been charged with ten counts of first-degree CSC and 29 counts of child sexually abusive activity following a seven-month investigation. 

Deputies continue to look into the case. 

The suspect’s name is being withheld, pending arraignment.  

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
