UPSET arrests Delta County residents on meth charges

DELTA COUNTY, MI--   Three Delta County people were arrested Monday by the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team on drug charges.

Detectives determined Taylor Shanahan, 23, and Glen Lavance, 40 were involved in the sale and distribution of crystal meth. A third suspect, Zachary Tryan, 27, was also arrested on drug-related charges and a probation violation.

Tryan was released on $1,000 bond. Shanahan and Lavance were arraigned Tuesday in Delta County District Court—Shanahan for delivery of meth and Lavance for delivery of meth and maintaining a drug house.

Both remain lodged in the Delta County Jail on a $50,000 bond.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
