MOHAWK, MI--   Two Keweenaw County residents are jailed after detectives from the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team seized cocaine at a residence.

Early Tuesday morning UPSET executed a search warrant at a home on Cliff Street in Mohawk. A search uncovered about a quarter pound of cocaine, nearly $7,000 in cash, and evidence of drug distribution. The street value of the drugs is estimated to be more than $20,000.

A man and woman, both 32, were jailed on charges related to the distribution of cocaine.

UPSET was assisted by the Michigan State Police Emergency Support Team, the Laurium Police Department, the Keweenaw County Sheriff’s Department, and the Michigan State Police Calumet Post.
