LAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, MI--   A Luce County home has been destroyed by fire.

Michigan State Police from the Sault Ste. Marie Post were dispatched to the house in Lakefield Township around 12:00 Monday morning. They found the residence, garage and two attached dwellings engulfed in flames.

The occupants of the house got out before troopers arrived and were not injured. The homeowner said the fire started from an unattended wood stove in the garage.
