National Poetry Month

April is National Poetry Month and Public Radio 90 is continuing its tradition of showcasing the work of area poets, from NMU students to regional writers. Each weekday morning at 9:32 a.m. and again in the afternoon at 3 p.m. tune in to hear the work of these wonderful, local writers.

  Milton Bates is a retired professor from Marquette University in Milwaukee, and now reads with The Marquette Poets' Circle.

Brooke Boulton is a third-year graduate student in the NMU MFA poetry program, who received her BA degree at the University of Tennessee, Chattanooga.

Martha Lundin is an undergraduate poetry student from Northfield, MN, whose parents are both NMU alumni, and John Minser is a poet and graduate student in the NMU FMA  poetry program.

Rexin Yang is a Professor of Sociology at NMU. She is reading selections from her second collection of poetry.

Martin Achatz is a Adjunct Assistant Professor of English at NMU.

Alex Gubbins is a graduate student and teaching assistant in the English Department at Northern Michigan University.
