COVID response and reopening plans

HANCOCK, MI--   The Portage Health Foundation is giving more than $428,000 to local school districts to help them safely start the school year.

Most districts in Baraga, Houghton, Keweenaw and Ontonagon counties will receive $5,000 and $50 per student, calculated from last year’s fall count report. Districts with fewer than 15 students—like Arvon Township, Elm River Township and Grant Township--will get $2,000 and $50 per student.
