elder abuse listening tour

MARQUETTE, MI--   Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel and Michigan Supreme Court Justice Megan Cavanagh are in Marquette Monday as part of their Elder Abuse Listening Tour.

Officials say at least 73,000 older adults in Michigan are victims of elder abuse at the hands of individuals entrusted to care for them. Listening tour attendees will be able to share their concerns about the often under-recognized and under-reported social problem. Input will be used to better guide the Attorney General’s Elder Abuse Task Force.
