Imperial Cities Tour

Public Radio 90

A hearty "Welcome Back" to our Imperial Cities travellers, who recently returned from the latest Public Radio 90 Collette / Holiday Travel Vacations Tour!  We had 13 Public Radio enthusiasts join classical music host Kurt Hauswirth on an 11-day international tour to Prague, Vienna and Budapest!  They saw many historic sights, toured centuries-old cities, ate many delicious regional foods, and of course did some souvenir shopping as well.

With three beautiful locales to explore, the Imperial Cities Tour to Prague, Vienna and Budapest will keep you busy.  Let us inform you ahead of time with the tour itinerary to know what to expect and when to expect it!

Our Imperial Cities tour is chocked full of amazing things to explore, yet there is so much more.  Below are some things you might want to check out during your free time in Budapest.

Thermal Springs
Budapest has more thermal springs than any other capital city in the world. An amazing 70 million liters of thermal waters rise to the surface daily. The hot springs have given birth to dozens of medicinal baths and to a bathing culture dating back to Roman times.

With 3 days in Vienna we'll have lots of time to explore the city.

Below are some fun things to do and see in Vienna during our free time.
I'm going to try to see as many as I can.  I'm hoping some adventurous travelers will want to join me.

Have you wondered what to do when you're overseas?  Do you have to follow the itinerary?  What do you do on a day in the city and you have some free time?

Join Evelyn Massaro and Kurt Hauswirth as they discuss the stuff that's not in the itinerary!  The two of them will have Tour Chats, where we take a dive into the fun things to do that are not on the schedule of events.  Maybe you will pack your swimsuit and jump in the thermal baths of Budapest; perhaps you'll have fun at one of many water parks in Vienna; spend some time with the animals of the Prague Zoo!
