MARQUETTE, MI--   The Marquette County Health Department is reaching out to homebound residents in an effort to get them COVID-19 vaccines.

MCHD is offering free, in-home Johnson & Johnson/Janssen vaccine appointments to Marquette County residents who are unable to leave their home. It’s a one-shot series recommended for people 18 and older. Appointments will be offered on a weekly basis, per demand.

LANSING, MI (MPRN)--   Health care providers in Michigan have been given the go-ahead to administer the Johnson and Johnson COVID-19 vaccine. That’s as Michigan faces some of the worst coronavirus hotspots in the country.

Michigan health officials lifted a pause on the J&J vaccine based on advice from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The CDC determined getting more people vaccinated outweighs the very remote risk of developing a blood clot.

WASHINGTON, D.C. (AP)--   The U.S. is recommending a “pause” in administration of the single-dose Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine to investigate reports of potentially dangerous blood clots.
