St. Peter Cathedral / Marquette Choral Society

The Marquette Choral Society presents their annual Christmas masterworks concert, featuring Ottorino Respighi’s Lauda per la Nativita del Signore and Marc-Antoine Charpentier’s Messe de Minuit pour Noël. The Choral Society is joined by members of the Marquette Symphony Orchestra.

NMU Music Department

The NMU Choirs will present their annual concert at St. Peter Cathedral Saturday, Nov. 16 at 7:30pm.  Music performed will come from composers Johannes Brahms, George Frederic Handel, Francis Poulenc and more.  Repertoire will be predominantly sacred.

“Chant and Praise” is the theme of the NMU Choirs & NMU Orchestra concert from April 2019, where each ensemble is featured and then combined for their final piece.  Then, join the Marquette Choral Society for their Russian Nights concert (also from April 2019), featuring Rachmaninoff’s All Night Vigil and more.

4-16-19 NMU Choirs and Orchestra "Chant and Praise"

The NMU Combined Choirs featuring the University Choir, Arts Chorale and Lake Effect Show Choir will be performing in concert this Saturday, February 25th at 3PM in Reynolds Recital Hall.  Dr. Erin Colwitz is the Director of Choirs and Professor in NMU's Music Department.  She joined us during Morning Classics to speak about the event.
