The NMU Department of Music is pleased to present an NMU Symphony Orchestra concert featuring the Dutch violinist Tim Kliphuis who will be performing his own composition, the "Ulysses Violin Concerto." Mr. Kliphuis combines a "gypsy jazz" sound with a classical music style.

The NMU String Orchestra will also perform the famous "Holberg Suite" by Edvard Grieg and "Irish Legend" by  Soon Hee Newbold.
