two-vehicle accident

MARQUETTE, MI--   Marquette Police are looking for witnesses to a two-vehicle accident in the city Friday morning. 

Officers say the crash happened around 10 a.m. at the intersection of Front and Washington Streets.  A 2003 black Buick and 2012 black Chevy Impala collided, causing minor damage to the vehicles.  None of the occupants were injured. 

Police are asking anyone who saw the accident to call the department at 228-0400. 

IRON MOUNTAIN, MI--   One person was injured in a two-vehicle crash in Dickinson County Friday. 

Troopers from the Iron Mountain Post say the accident happened around 12:30 p.m. at the intersection of US-141 and Breitung Avenue.

They say Karissa Beauchamp, 32, of Kingsford was northbound on 141 when she tried to make a left turn onto Breitung Avenue and struck a southbound vehicle driven by Clayton Mueller, 18, of Niagara, Wisconsin. 

Mueller was taken to Dickinson County Memorial Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

SENEY, MI--   Officials have released the name of a Marquette man killed in a two-vehicle accident on the Seney Stretch.  

The crash happened Wednesday around 4 p.m. just west of the Seney rest area. 

State Police say Eric Mason, 39, lost control of his car and slid into the path of a semi on M-28.

Troopers say the roadway was slippery at the time of the accident. 

CEDARVILLE TOWNSHIP, MI--   One person has been killed in a two-vehicle accident in Menominee County. 

The Sheriff’s Department says the crash happened Friday around 6:15 p.m. on M-35 in Cedarville Township. 

Deputies say pickup truck driven by Jeffrey Anderson, 52, of Stephenson collided with a minivan driven by Margaret Winter, 73, of Marquette County on slick and snowy roads.  Anderson’s wife Jill, 50, a passenger in the truck, was killed in the crash. 

ISHPEMING TOWNSHIP, MI--   An Ishpeming man is injured, following a two-vehicle accident in Ishpeming Township. 

The Marquette County Sheriff’s Office was called Friday around 5:30 p.m. to the crash on US-41 near Daisy Street.  Deputies say a 30-year-old Negaunee man driving a pickup truck tried to cross the highway from the Shell gas station when he struck an eastbound car driven by a 20-year-old Ishpeming man. 

MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP, MI--   One person was slightly injured in a two-vehicle accident in Marquette Township.

The county Sheriff’s Department says the crash happened Wednesday around 7:25 p.m. at the intersection of US-41 and County Road HQ. 

Thomas Ross, 51, of Baraga was driving his Chevy truck westbound on 41 when his vision became obstructed by the setting sun.  Ross didn’t see the traffic signal turn red and he crashed into a Dodge Caravan driven by Lisa Rautiola, 24, of Marquette.
