MARQUETTE, MI-- Storms moving across the Midwest are bringing snow, ice and heavy rains to different parts of Michigan.
The National Weather Service says snow began falling in the Upper Peninsula Thursday night. By the time the storm wraps up early Saturday morning parts of the area could get 8 to 12 inches of snow. In higher elevations, up to 14 inches is forecast.
In the Northern Lower Peninsula, as much as three-quarters of an inch of ice was reported in places. That followed snow earlier in the week, and more snow is possible.
Driving conditions across the U.P. and Northern Lower Michigan remain difficult.
