DEARBORN, Mich. (AP) — AAA Michigan says about 1.3 million Michigan residents are expected to travel during the Thanksgiving holiday period next week.
The auto club says those people are expected to go 50 miles or more from home and the number is about the same as last year's travelers. The holiday period runs November 27-December 1. Overall, AAA estimates that 43.4 million Americans will travel for Thanksgiving.
According to AAA Michigan, about 90 percent of Michigan travelers will go by personal vehicle. Others will go by plane, bus or train.
