Dickinson County city receives funding to upgrade water and wastewater systems

NORWAY, MI--   The city of Norway is getting $5.6 million to revamp its water and wastewater systems.    

The money comes from the USDA’s Rural Development Water and Environmental programs, funded through the 2014 Farm Bill.

The city will receive a $1.1 million grant and $1.6 million loan through Rural Development for necessary improvements to its wastewater infrastructure.  It will also receive a $2.8 million loan to overhaul its water system.
