MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP, MI-- Three people have been found safe after they became lost while hiking near Hogsback Mountain in Marquette Township.
Sheriff’s deputies were called Wednesday around 8:30 p.m. by Kelly Quigley, 40, of Marquette. She and her 8- and 14-year-old children went hiking in the Harlow Lake area around 6:30 p.m. when they lost sight of the trail and got lost. When it became too dark to walk safely out of the woods Quigley called 911.
Central Dispatch received a GPS coordinate from the call, which was relayed to the Marquette County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue Team.
Quigley and her children were found just east of Harlow Lake in good health. The family was guided out of the woods and no one required any medical attention.
