Firefighters battle Escanaba structure fire

ESCANABA, MI--   An Escanaba house was damaged by fire Monday night. 

Public Safety officers were called to 222 South 10th Street around 10:45 p.m. and found the front of the residence fully involved. The upstairs on the south side of the building was also in flames.

Firefighters quickly brought the fire under control and extinguished it.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Public Safety was assisted by the Ford River Fire Department, the Delta County Sheriff’s Office, Rampart EMS, DTE, the Escanaba Electric Department and the Red Cross.
