Body found in Ishpeming

ISHPEMING, MI--   The Ishpeming Police Department says the body of a man has been found by Lake Minnie. 

Sunday around 1:30 p.m. officers were dispatched to the end of Cliff’s Drive. They say the 50-year-old former Marquette resident was located by two people who had gone to the lake to fish.

The name of the man is not being released at this time, pending an autopsy.

Police say the death does not appear to be suspicious in nature and no foul play is suspected.

The incident remains under investigation.
