Iron Mountain man killed in crash

RALPH, MI--   An Iron Mountain man is dead, following a single-vehicle accident in Dickinson County.

Michigan State Police say the crash happened Thursday afternoon on County Road 426 near Ralph.

Troopers say Gene LaFave, 51, had apparently failed to negotiate a curve when the vehicle left the roadway and rolled over.  LaFave was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials say excessive speed was a factor in the accident.  LaFave was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
