MARQUETTE, MI-- A Marquette woman had to be extricated from her vehicle after it crashed and rolled over in the city.
Marquette Police say the accident happened Tuesday around 7:30 p.m. on North McClellan Avenue near Grant Street.
A jeep driven by a 53-year-old woman was northbound when it crossed the centerline, left the roadway, struck a rock outcropping, and rolled onto its roof. The driver was trapped inside and had to be cut out by the Marquette Fire Department. She was taken to Marquette General Hospital for treatment of her injuries.
Police say neither alcohol nor drugs are believed to be factors in the crash, which remains under investigation.
