Negaunee accident injures one

NEGAUNEE, MI--   One person was injured in a two-vehicle crash in Negaunee Monday.

Around 10 a.m. City Police were dispatched to the intersection of US-41 and Baldwin Avenue.  They say a vehicle driven by Christa LaForest, 43, of Negaunee had been eastbound on 41 when she tried to turn left onto Baldwin.  She hit a westbound pickup driven by Dan Rose, 69, of Negaunee.

LaForest sustained injuries and was taken to Upper Peninsula Health System Marquette for treatment.

Officials believe alcohol was a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
