Marquette Township accident injures one

MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP, MI--   A Marquette woman has been injured in a crash in Marquette Township.

Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched around 1:30 p.m. to Commerce Drive at the US-41 West intersection. They say a pickup truck driven by James Goriesky, 46, of Marquette was westbound on the highway when he ran a red light. He struck a station wagon driven by Jessica Renfro, 29, of Marquette.

Renfro was taken to UPHS-Marquette for treatment. Goriesky was not injured.

Goriesky was ticketed for disregarding a stop and go light.
