Brandon Garlow and Fiona Byrne Ryan sold their Detroit-area house, packed up their car, and embarked on a soul journey to assist Indigenous causes around Turtle Island (North America). A call from the water spurred them to start running 227 miles of the North Country Trail from Michigan to Northern Minnesota in an effort to raise funds for the Stop Line 3 Resistance. The oil pipeline runs from Alberta, Canada to Superior, Wisconsin.

Brandon and Fiona took time while they were in Marquette to speak with Public Radio 90 News Director Nicole Walton about their heart-based mission. Additional sounds were provided by their 2-year-old son, Dasan.
